Hello, hello my dear ones!

You know that feeling when you cook something and all your family is happy to eat it? No picking things from the sauce, no complaints about the broccoli aka green trees in their plate? YES, I know, is lovely although I don’t get it too often haha.

Well, that’s how I felt after I made this Burger from felt for my little one. My toddler totally took to it and has been playing soo much with it I started to feel proud of myself! He also loves his pizza made from felt and loves to plate is and add all the extra topping and create his own combination.

I am 35 weeks pregnant you guys! I can’t give the same amount of attention to my toddler as before. I feel achy most of the days and can’t play on the floor with his train anymore or go in the park (20min walk to get there, that’s like you gotta be kidding me..) lift him up in all the swings, run around with him, tickle and be as entertaining as I used to be. I started diverting my attention from my bump aches and tried to create toys for him (because I’m cheap and I think they look better than the bought ones anyway) that he can play by himself more. I really love this stage in his life. He is really getting in all this pretend play and loves to play with his kitchen taht we got him forChristmass and he seems to be satisfied with just me guiding him a bit or asking him to do a task in the kitchen.

You can make this burger for your little one too! Download the free pattern at the end of the post and follow my step by step instructions.

For this burger I made one bun, made from two pieces of bread, they both have a different pattern so make sure you follow the right one for a more realistic look. Inside the bun is the burger as well as a couple of toppings like onion, tomato, lettuce, and of course cheese, because what will be a burger without cheese?! Everything is sewed using a blanket stitch, so nothing fancy just join the pieces together. I didn’t even bother using a stitch for the lettuce, I thought might look even better as a single layer!

For this burger, you will need the good old felt (I used half blend with wool It really feels so much nicer!), embroidery floss to match the colour of your felt, needle, the pattern and a free afternoon. I did this while my toddler was playing with his cubes you won’t need total freedom (what’s that even!?)
