I am back with another wonderful craft for children’s bedrooms. If you haven’t seen Part 1 Bear Woodland Creature, hop over to see it too. This craft is Part 3 and has been made for my little boy’s quiet corner, in his room.
For this craft, you will need a cushion case of the colour of your choice (but I found that a nice contrast one works great), brown, dark green, light green, and yellow felt, as well as matching embroidery thread in white.
Once you download your pattern, trim your felt and pin it to the case so you have an idea as to where everything will go.
After that, just use a blanket stitch to secure all the pieces to the case. And you are done! It’s that easy. If you want to see a more detailed step-by-step you can find it here, as I used the same techniques for the bear as for this one. Cushions are a lovely way to bring more colour to the room as well as to keep a theme running, and these appliques are very easy and quick to stitch together.
Here is a peek of his little quiet corner, but I will be writing a whole article soon, so stay tuned.
Let me know if you tried any of these crafts and what you would like to see me do next time.
